Hi, I'm Sydney Dubitsky, a Brooklyn based director and artist who loves storytelling. My favorite pieces to direct are ones that question normative behavior and values; especially those that focus on gender roles, girlhood, and queerness. While these pieces are often contemporary, I'm also fascinated by how classic works can be updated and adapted for modern audiences without diminishing their charm. When I'm not directing, you may find me in a variety of other roles, including stage manager, stitcher, photographer, sound designer, and many more.
Training includes a B.A. in Theater Studies and a B.A. in Digital Media & Design from the University of Connecticut, as well as completion of the National Theater Institute Advanced Directing program at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.
